Serving kids is both fun and fulfilling. We have countless opportunities available. From young to old, introverted and extroverted, whatever your schedule, we can help you use your talents to honor God and make a difference in the lives of children.
It’s our goal to see every volunteer experience the genuine satisfaction of using your talents in ministry. To start your adventure in Children’s Ministry at Saylorville Baptist Church, simply download the Children’s Ministry Application, including a Background Check Form, fill them out, and contact Justin Van Rheenen at 515.289.2395.

Your next steps will include an interview with a children’s ministry staff member and the opportunity to observe in the area you’ve expressed interest.

We also encourage you to check out our “First Steps” opportunity as a way to “test drive” our ministry to see if it’s a fit for you. You just set up an appointment, come and observe, and if you feel like it’s a fit we can get you plugged in, but if not, you are not obligated at all to commit.

First Steps:
This opportunity will help you understand all the ways to serve, the various time requirements and training involved. You will be able to talk with a children’s ministry staff member or volunteer who works in your area of interest. Enjoy refreshments and fellowship with current children’s ministry volunteers
